We all need something beautiful in our lives, and here at Caversham Textiles we create beautiful fabrics that have been inspired by Fine Art Printmaking and thereby not only bring the joy of textiles into your world but also a bit of South African art history! Up until now we have only hand printed all our fabrics on locally produced, incredibly soft 100% Cotton Twill that is woven just 2 hours from us on the KZN coast. The cotton is sourced from South Africa and Southern Africa. We are keeping our serene valley and fresh country air untainted by only using water based pigments. And YES, we are based in the KZN midlands, not in Cape Town or Johannesburg, where the fresh air certainly helps ignite the creativity.
Whilst we have an extensive selection of designs and colourways in our ranges, we understand that each individual has their own needs and preferences for colours and combinations. It is for this exact reason, and because the colour combinations are endless, we are always happy to print any of our designs in any of our colourways. There is nothing better than seeing one of our designs given a new lease on life, and a completely different feel by simply changing the colourway.
With the changes worldwide over 2020 and leading into 2021 we have made the decision to move across to digital printing. Whilst this pulls at our heartstrings and all we have stood for through many years we are also unbelievably excited about all the doors that this has opened for us. We cannot wait to bring even more amazing designs to the world arena still keeping to our very high standards when it comes to quality.
